To enhance user efficiency and streamline the workflow within Matomo, I propose the introduction of keyboard shortcuts for quickly performing common actions. This feature would be inspired by existing keyboard shortcuts in Matomo's Zen mode and other platforms where quick actions are facilitated through key presses. The addition of these shortcuts would significantly speed up the process of creating tags, triggers, variables, and publishing versions, making the interface more user-friendly and accessible.

Suggested Shortcuts

• T: Create a new Tag
• D: Create a new Trigger (Considering that "T" would already be used for Tags, "D" could be an alternative for Triggers)
• V: Create a new Variable
• P: Publish a new Version

Rationale

Implementing these shortcuts would provide several benefits:

• Efficiency: Users can perform frequent actions much faster than navigating through the UI.
• Convenience: Reduces the need for mouse navigation, making it easier for users to manage their tasks.
• Accessibility: Enhances the accessibility of the Matomo platform for users who rely on keyboard navigation.

Implementation Considerations

• Customization: Allow users to customize these shortcuts to avoid conflicts with existing shortcuts and accommodate personal preferences.
