I loved the layout of the presentation, and I thought the visualizations were explained really well. I am interested to see how age plays a role in this dataset.
I thought that the topic was very interesting, and the insights that Group 1 gained from analysis was very effectively explained, as well as useful. I'm excited to see the next steps for this project.
I joined a little bit late into the presentation but I saw the graphs that were presented and they were super well-made!
I joined late so I only saw the end of this presentation - great visuals!
Very comprehensive! I was wondering if this project is looking at other confounding variables that could affect their voting behavior? Such as other demographic figures like gender and age?
I think they're question is really interesting. A lot of people in politics are still trying to figure this out.
They made a really good map showing the distribution of political leanings in the US
The key findings on the socioeconomic data was explained really well. Some of the graphs were difficult to understand but the speaker clearly explained them
Really interesting research question-- I like that you thought of this empirical puzzle and then looked for data to help confirm or deny it. I think you have a good hypothesis and went about looking at the data in a smart way.
Is there any way to investigate whether ppl are one-issue voters — perhaps they prioritize other things; also, any way to account for places with less access to news/information?
Good overview and explanation of datasets. Great geographic map of voting results. Your story could be more engaging.
There was a lot of interesting information there, but the graphs were a little hard to understand without labels.
Well-framed and strong discussion about the political distribution, interesting highlighted patterns explored. Visuals were strong and added to the presentation.
Very dense, the analysis wasn't really in a presentable form.
Overall, I truly enjoyed the presentation. We needed some keys on the actual graphics because I found it really difficult at times to know what I was looking at in a specific presentation.
I really liked the group's box/whisker plots and their scatter plot, which shows the political divide between the Republicans and Democrats dependent on their U.S. county. The slides were information-dense and would have liked to see if they explored other demographics, such as age.
I could tell there was good material at the core, but the charts seemed confusing. Are you considering other demographic criteria beyond the geographic component?
Great data and excellent analysis. Would love to know how often these counties that have lower insurance levels have hospitalizations. Are they average compared to other counties? Higher or lower?
