Despite trying to select specific text (how we are going to work together—I hope!—by exploring the new means that the digital environment makes available to us) at http://modesofexistence.org/inquiry/#b[chapter]=#3&b[subheading]=#41&a=SET+TEXT+LEADER&c[leading]=TEXT&c[slave]=VOC&s=0 the interface does not give me an option to add conversation to the Discussion space.

Additionally @hypothesis is blocked by needing users to log in, which isn't too much open data nor creative commons, either.

In the end we have to regretfully accept the funding spirit was not used to create a lively developer community around this beautiful text exploration interface.

If it would only allow its users to have agency at all to interact, then the claim of the original sentence would have been approachable. As this is not the case, nor interaction with external web environments welcomed, we probably have to dispose the whole argument of the book?

The linking solution explained in How to quote/cite items from the aime platform? is also invalid, as no open access is possible.

Thanks for keeping the issue open so far. It came back to my attention when I read in http://www.holbergprisen.no/en/holberg-prize-2013.html how the platform should invite for contributions of others.

I am preparing a possible context to present to the German publisher and political foundations around integration of the German translation, which could come with a meaningful update to the aime-core, learning from experiences within the wiki federation, to support a web-native protocol for third-party contributions and participation, like ActivityPub https://activitypub.rocks/
