Error: EMFILE: too many open files happened

 return stream.pipe(res);

Maybe change to below code can resolve this problem https://github.com/jshttp/on-finished

stream.pipe(res)
   onFinished(res, function (err) {
   destroy(stream)
});

take this load test for this case
