vagrant-precise64-postgresql

Vagrant files for a postgresql server based on Ubuntu Precise 64.

How to Use?

You can use this as a database server for any project.

  1. Install vagrant
  2. Install VirtualBox

  3. Install this box on vagrant

    vagrant box add precise64-postgresql https://dl.dropbox.com/u/547141/vagrant-boxes/precise64-postgresql.box

  4. Init it on your project directory

    vagrant init precise64-postgresql

  5. Run it!

    vagrant up
  6. Postgresql will be available to connect on port 5432 with user postgres and no password (trust mode)

How to Hack?

  1. Install vagrant
  2. Install VirtualBox
  3. Clone this repo

  4. Bundle it

    cd vagrant-precise64-postgresql
bundle
  5. Customize the postgresql config files

  6. Test it

    vagrant up

  7. Package and distribute it like on documentation

    vagrant package --vagrantfile Vagrantfile.pkg
