Note - the SEPTAlking service was discontinued on March 15, 2013 and I'm not actively maintaining this codebase any longer.
SEPTAlking is a telephone / SMS application that lets you find departure times for SEPTA Regional Rail trains.
This project was developed as part of the first Apps for SEPTA civic hackathon in 2011. Improvements & enhancements added at the Apps for SETPTA: Reloaded! civic hackathon in 2012.
SEPTAlking uses the W3C standard for speech recognition - SRGS grammars - and the Tropo platform to provide both a phone and IM interface to the SEPTA "Next to Arrive" API, and the SEPTA ["System Locations" API] (http://www3.septa.org/hackathon/).
This project is 100% open source. Please fork, experiment and improve!
