[BUG] CW sidetone #43

I use as CW input the option SETUP > DSP > CW a COM with RTS/DTR as trigger input. I defined this as secondary and activate unter OPTIONS Sidetone (tick on). CW working correct, but I don't hear no sidetone. The MON ON/OFF has not any effect too. Is there any way to generate a CW sidetone, if I use this way for CW keying ?

Setup option Setup|General|Options|Option-1|Disable PTT must be checked for side tone to work. I don't know why, it just works that way.

Latency on the side tone can be improved using Setup|Audio|VAC1|Buffer Latency and setting the values lower. I haven't experimented much with these controls but you can reduce the key to sidetone delay.

Ok, works :) Thanks for notice. But where I can change the sidetone volume ? The master AF has not effect, if I try to change it. 73 Heiko, DL1BZ

huh it works, however it seems that in this mode we receive back our own transmitted signal, hence it has a big delay and destroy the display with its agc and avg function etc. so on my side non practical, or practically unusable :( do you have any bandwidth on this issue and can we have some update in the near future?

There is a MIDI keyer/sound card being productised with MakerFabs which will produce a solution. I don't have an update on when it will be available.
