Cool, who's gonna create the fractal/generative algorithm for the default image of the document?
This is looking great! About the fractal I would propose mr Zauner ;)
One question though @michael didn't you like my sketch for the networks? I'm half way there with the css for all of it...
Or does this mean we won't use my design proposals
Actually my screenshot is showing a different view. It's the network detail view. The squares below correspond to documents not networks. Regarding design: Go ahead with yours, as I said I really like it. My only suggestion would be keeping the colors in good old-substanceish. But anyway.. you are having the lead for hub UI development. :) Just wanted to add input.
Oh! my bad… true, we could use the same layout with some network specific stuff added to it though. Now I understand, as for the colors yes, we now have the substanceish colors, remember some working sketches I had on my dropbox. Soon to be merged, if I ever manage to focus on coding while in Malmö :/
One thing at a time. :) Don't hurry. I'm also busy with my freelancing stuff. However.. let's join all forces in April. :)
Did another mockup on the article layout. I've implemented cover images for the composer, so now we can have cover image on the top of each document. By default we'll have an auto-generated cover image for every document. E.g. a fractal.
However here it is.
I was also thinking about a substance-unique way of navigating the site, I guess we should have networks very prominent.. so when viewing a doc you see where it is filed in. Then it should be easy to navigate one level back to the network in order to see other documents published there.
I just quickly threw together a quick UI draft about how we could display Substance Networks in a clean way.
We'll have a document cover for all documents. We'll auto-generate unique images that people can replace with their own image if they want so. I guess it's really important we get the presentation right on Substance.io. That's why we wanna have images for everything. :)
("Most popular" would be a network internally.)
See you guys soon.
