Membership as a Cooperator is reserved to citizens having reached their majority, i.e. who have had their 18th birthday.
This rule must be enforced upon registration.
I hence propose that AlirPunkto controls the age of the Candidate as follows:
the field Date of birth is followed by an explanation text stating: "Only persons having reached their legal age, i.e. who have reached their 18th birthday, are entitled to become members of the Cooperative.";
when the candidate submits his/her form, AlirPunkto performs the following computation:
If [(current date - date of birth) < 6575 days], then
refuse application of the candidate
display the error message: "You have not yet reached your 18th birthday. You are hence unfortunately not allowed to become a Cooperator. We invite you to register as an Ordinary Member of the Community - and to upgrade to Cooperator as soon as you had your 18th birthday."
NB. (18 x 365.25 days) = 6 574.5 days, rounded up to 6575.
