To get the full datum, you can try to pass urldate=long
option to Biblatex package. Regarding the wrong localization strings, these are by Biblatex itself. You can set it to other value using this command:
\DefineBibliographyStrings{german}{
urlseen = {zugriff am},
urlfrom = {verf\"ugbar unter}
}
I don't know whether we should fix it in the german-iso.lbx
.
why should you not? its how the Norm says, if you want i can mail the german Norm to you, so you can check for yourself.
I don't know any German, but if these terms are better than those provided by Biblatex, then it might be better if it was fixed in Biblatex itself. What do you think @moewew?
well, the Norm says it should be "Zugriff am:" (or "Verfügbar unter:") or an equivalent expression, so i guess its not too bad how it is right now.
I don't have access to the current version of the (German or indeed any) norm.
biblatex
's standard styles do not attempt to conform to (any interpretation) of the ISO norms. That said, the current 'Abgerufen unter' sound a bit weird to me and the English version 'available from' emphasises the availability more than the fact that the source was obtained/retrieved from a URL. So we could think about a change.
As you can see in german-iso.lbx, I wouldn't mind if the urlfrom
string will change to "verfügbar unter" since other users of this style contributed urlalso = auch verfügbar unter
and I think it's OK if a string overrides its default biblatex
definition. However, I don't know German so the biggest question is the meaning of the strings mentioned in the standard..
BTW, strings for urlseen
in Czech (and Slovak) language are different from that mentioned in the standard (because they are unusual there).
i am from Germany and want to create german bibliography in iso numeric style. i got it to work with biblatex and the language is also german but the dates (especially with online sources) are in english format. it says [Besucht am 2016-10-31] (visitet on ...) but the german norm says it should be [Zugriff am: 31. Oktober 2016] (access at dd. Month yyyy). also the translation for "avaible from" is not quite right, it should be "Verfügbar unter:" instead of "Abgerufen unter:" Edit: passing "urldate=long" to Biblatex worked, that Format is acceptable, thank you for the answer.
