Replication to sovereign / national clouds (specifically Mooncake/China) #77

Public addresses such as mcr.microsoft.com are not guaranteed to be accessible from sovereign / national clouds:

DON'T consume containers directly from internet (e.g. docker hub) sources. These sources may not always be available to you.

Is there a replicated MCR registry in the sovereign clouds, specifically Mooncake (China)? e.g. mcr.microsoft.cn?

Hi @ohadschn, the short answer is not yet. We have taken some steps to improve the performance of mcr.microsoft.com from Mooncake. There is work underway for a mcr.microsoft.cn or similar, but earliest estimate is first half of 2022.
