There is no default delegate approver.

Describe the solution you'd like

If an approved haven’t set up their delegate, it should default to the line manager from AAD.

@miguelverweij For the April release of the Approvals Kit the Approver process will check for Default or Backup approver. If these values are not set for the user then the Manager is assigned as the approver
