[Feature]: Currently in the security industry, there is a trend towards domestic substitution, with an increasing number of domestically produced acceleration cards being used in projects, such as Huawei’s Ascend NPU and Alibaba’s TPU. However, Milvus does not currently support these cards, limiting its applicability in certain scenarios. Thanks for asking. We had some researches on Huawei NPU, unfortunately, currently some basic operators like sort does not support well, so the benifits for performance was limited compare to CPU. We will keep an eye on this and feel free to contact us if you have more updated info.
