The only valid business decision would be that a chromecast 2 was on the
horizon with dts support to make people upgrade.
Otherwise, they are just losing sales to competitors.

Was going to buy chromecasts for all my TVs, no DTS support means I can't cast
my videos. Will have to buy Roku or something else instead...

Wow. Getting tired of these messages. Want to unstar, but then there will
be 'one less vote'. As if that would mean a difference.
This is most probably *not* a technical limitation (or difficulty). This is
just a decision 'from higher up'.... Don't facilitate playback of erm...
'bootlegged' material. Seems to me this is pointless.

To me, the messages are fine. As long as i can see something is going on. I
switched to Raspi2/kodi as long as there is no dts-support for gcast. Still, it
would help alot as is want to minimize the amount of stuff connected to my TV.
And as long as Kodi even has 'DTS-HD MA'-Support, licenses IMHO can't be a
proper argument for not adding it.

No DTS no Ccast. Simple. I know at least 10 people I work with who support this
statement Google.

My chromecast has been replaced with another piece of hardware that supports
DTS, DTS HD Master etc. Thanks for the time we had together Chromecast, but I
will unstar this now. Your loss.

People, don't remove the star. We need more and more to grab attention
from Google.

I don't think anyone from Google is still monitoring this.
They marked Wont Fix.
I hope someone will ask this question at the Google IO: why no DTS support for
Chromecast? Why no explanation to your users?

It was the same wit AC3... they marked it as "wont fix" as well.

This is driving me crazy i will not buy a second chromecast in the future just
for DTS there are more products that can do it.

We don't have plans to support DTS at this time. We will continue to evaluate
this as a feature request for the future.
