Inspeqtor Cookbook

Note: This cookbook is still in beta. Some of Inspeqtor's features cannot be configured yet.

Installs and configures Inspeqtor.

Requirements

Platform:

• packagecloud

Attributes

• node["inspeqtor"]["use_packagecloud_repo"] - If true, install Inspeqtor from packagecloud repository.

Global configuration:

• node["inspeqtor"]["cycle_time"] - How often Inspeqtor will capture metrics and verify rules, in seconds.
• node["inspeqtor"]["deploy_length"] - Maximum length of application deploys, in seconds.
• node["inspeqtor"]["log_level"] - Set logging level. Must be one of warn, info, debug, or verbose.
• node["inspeqtor"]["alert_routes"] - List of alert routes. Each route contains the channel type, an optional owner, as well other channel-specific settings. See examples in chef.json.

Testing

The cookbook provides the following Rake tasks for testing:

rake rubocop:auto_correct         # Auto-correct RuboCop offenses
rake test                         # Run all tests
