okay well in Vista and windows xp you could always see "hidden" files/folders
when
you plugged in your ipod. You had to go to folder options and turn the ability
to see
hidden folders on your ipod or any directory. Windows 7 must have it set to
where you
automatically enable to see hidden folders

This is directed to comment number 7 - you said all you can see is pictures
when you plug your iPod into
your computer. Is that on XP on Windows 7?

Guys.... just stop.... this is really pathetic. How many times must people tell
you this isn't going to work before
you go
"OMG! Maybe the guy who's going through the code, reverse engineering shit,
knows a bit more then the guy
trying to copy and past stuff using explorer in microsoft 7!!!"
It has been stated a MILLION times! You can't get a jailbreak from copying and
pasting installer!
If you guys think its so easy, then DO it, get stuff to run then come tell us
about it. I don't need to get notified
everytime you were able to see your ipod files.
I want to metaphor this.
Chronic is an excavator looking for gold, and all you guys are like little kids
(the cutest little kids I've ever
known :D). And you want to help chronic find his gold, but are too young really
to do anything useful. You just
run around and pickup rocks and stop chronic from doing his real work to ask if
it's gold. He tells you it isn't,
you run off and pickup another rock and come back to bother him again. He keeps
trying to explain what the
gold looks like but kids have ADD and don't really listen, they just keep
running off, picking up rocks and
asking if their gold.
I've written way to much on this :P. But I think it offers more value then the
actual jailbreak hypothesis posted
at the top of this page. :P

i second that "bullshit" btw. got some pics. nothin exciting.
However, when i plugged it in for the first time at first there were two
folders,
DCIM and one titled apple999, i came back like five minutes later to take
screen
shots, and the folder was gone. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the
ipod
but no luck, there was nothing (that i could see) in the folder but it's still
pretty strange.....
btw windows 7 is AWESOME!!!! Strongly recommend it, way better then vista,
microsoft's back on top!!!! Wooohhhooooo!!!!!

My intention was not to add anymore comments to these "Issues" because I'm sure
it annoys the hell out of
chronic and only detracts from him actually making any progress towards a
jailbreak, but I have to admit, it
sure is funny as sh*t watching all these dolts posting about how they think
they've "found something" when
they plug in their iPod and Windows recognizes it as a device and shows them
the pictures folders.
*WAY TO GO MORONS!* *HIGHFIVE!*
btw> Keep up the good work Chronic! i'm patiently awaiting your jailbreak no
matter how long it takes, be it
weeks, months or years! In the meantime, i'm enjoying my iPod touch for what it
is, a media player!
