Signature error in fwknop-gui on Mac OSX 10.13.6 #297

Hello,

I tried to install the fwknop-gui (fwknop-gui-1.3.dmg) on Mac OSX 10.13.6 High Sierra and got the following error:

"fwknop-gui" can't be opened.

When I clicked on help, I got the following explanation:

The app’s authorization has been revoked There may be a problem with this app. Although the app was signed by an identified developer, the certificate for the app has been revoked, and it cannot be opened. Check with the Mac App Store or the software developer to see whether there is an updated version of this app.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

This seems odd. Can you confirm where you downloaded the .dmg from?

I read the github read the readme.md on github and followed the link https://incomsystems.biz/fwknop-gui/ to the download site.

Here I used the link https://incomsystems.biz/fwknop-gui/downloads/fwknop-gui-1.3.dmg to download the dmg file.

You can install the file to the applications folder but you get the described error If you try to start it.

There is no option in the Mac OS privacy settings to ignore the security warning for "unknown authors" and install it despite the warning. Here the author seems to be known but his certificate is revoked. So without any deep going hacks on the command line, I was not able to install the software.
