Here is an example I have right now which is or can be a grott ha integration issue or most likely one of grott.
I am not sure if this has occured after the wifi stick reset desaster but I think so. My workaround was to set the ggrowattip in the grott HA addon to 8.209.71.240
I did not use gblockcmd cause then I would not be able to edit my inverter settings anymore (except I would turn the switch off again but I bet many NON HYBRID GROWATT OWNER will have forgotten that they had blocked any change of the settings there when they suddenly have the need to change some settings). And I have changed my growatt inverter settings back to my grott server ip which runs inside my HA server.
This is my starting point after fixing the wifi stick IP reset issue.
And for the past 2 days since I was able to bring the growatt server and grott integration back to life I have recogniced that the growatt integration sensors shows as the last update in my opinion only the last time I had started the grott server.
Here is the history of the past 24 hours of the "last data update" sensor of my hybrid SPH inverter
Last time would have been at 3:34 am. But I am receiving data updates every minute for example here seen in the PV string 2 power graph.
Both screenshots are just minutes old. In my opinion "last data update" looks more or less wrong or at least not right cause we have 11:59 am while typing and not 3:34 am
And also in the grott integration logbook I can seem some most recent changes too just 26 minutes old
FINALLY I have stopped grott addon , waited a few seconds and then started grott again.
Within a minute I got the first SPH hybrid inverter data and guess what ?
Last data update has been 46 seconds ago.
But that does not look right to me that "last data update" is showing the moment the last time GROTT has been started.
What should the "last data update" sensor show ? And is the current state a result of the wifi stick reset desaster ?
Finally: Isn't it an example for the discussion and the community helping each other ? thanks a lot
I still suggest to open a discussion page to have a spot for discussion on points below and beyond issue and feature request.
For example: thanks a lot for your good work was something I wanted to say you in such a point cause that is why i came here today and there is no such spot.
I just upgraded to grott ha 1.12 and that was a reminder to say thank you.
after the mess of the broken grott installation due to growatts resetting of the wifi sticks to their server I was looking now through a lot of other issues on the grott and grott ha integration side just to avoid that I have missed an important thing like this mess above.
While reading those other issues I recogniced that more or less 50% are no issues of the integration at all and usually belong to grott.
For new users a long list of still open and old(er) issues is not looking very good, not really inviting and therefore time to close those issues where users ask "how to compose or docker whatsoever". They steal time from those who wanna be up to date.
And to avoid further stress I guess it would be usefull to open a "discussion" page where you should be able to move those issues simply to get a clean overview what is going on - for you and all others. I have read really a lot and started to comment that people should close it cause usually it was not a genuine HA grott integration issue.
This topic itself would also belong there and could be moved into the discussion. Great work and progress especially in the discussion about the issue that appeared about 2 weeks ago where growatt deleted our grott server ids in the WiFi sticks. Quite long right now, but I found all the bits and pieces needed to solve that for me in a way that I can still edit my inverters, which usual users would not do, except those hybrid inverter owners that change the charging and discharging plans based on the hourly tarifs tomorrow and the forecast of tomorrows production.
thanks
