Continuously back up your browser tabs.

Usage & funxion

The extension will, at a specified interval, save the current tab list with the timestamp to localstorage. This was inspired by Pirate's tweet, which is also my biggest fear.

After installation, you can configure the backup interval in the standard addon config place under about:addons:

or by clicking the toolbar item in the top right:

browser action screnshot

Clicking on "See saved tab lists…" will take you to a page with tabset listings, sorted freshest-to-oldest.

Installation

The addon is available on addons.mozilla.org – your best bet is to get it from there.

If you can't download addons from AMO, you can get an .xpi from the releases page and install it (how to do that depends on your browser; in Firefox, a drag&drop onto about:addons is sufficient, or even just the fact that the filename ends with .xpi might be (be warned, though: you might need to disable signature verification)).

For development purposes point about:debugging's temporary add-on at the repo clone.
