No. This issue is not a technical problem, it's a matter of money. If patreon's total payment exceeds $1600/m, the server will never stop.

And, Currently, EC2 Spot Instance has caused capacity-not-available error, so I can not start the server. Please wait for a few hours/days.

Is there a version of it for Mac?

If you are using macOS 13 or later, download the Metal version from App Store; if you are using macOS 12 or earlier, use the GLSL version available: https://github.com/yui0/waifu2x-glsl, which you will need to install some libraries, but nevertheless just follow the instructions. Note that the noise level 0 model of this version has some issues as far as I had encountered on my macOS 12, but otherwise it runs quite fast and the quality is identical to the other versions.

If it is down, there is waifu2x for the iPad which has the noise and artwork/photo options as well as 2x/4x upscaling

The Mac source is here: https://github.com/imxieyi/waifu2x-mac and you can compile it for MacOS 13 or 14 if you install Xcode. The Gui version simply upscales 2x with no options, but you can extract the Command line version.

It is a financial issue. Non-stop GPU Instance usage costs more than $1000 per month, but Spot Instance usage costs about $600 per month. So I've been used Spot instance. But in Spot instance, if someone pays more than that, my spot instance is forcibly stopped and given to that person. This is why waifu2x goes down.

I don't want to be involved in business as much as possible, So I added Patreon link.

I think that there is no problem for personal use, but it is probably not usable as a web service. waifu2x.udp.jp is used by hundreds of people at all times, and data transfer bytes is about 100GB per hour.
