Switch `_._` -> `,` symlink path delimiter

So turns out _._ never worked. Fixing by switching _._ -> ,. 🤞 this will be the last time I need to change this delimiter.

A few additional changes:

• updates the docs (which was a learning experience in how poorly I updated them in my previous switch from > -> _._)
• adds a verbose flag, set by prompting the user, that makes output considerably cleaner when not debugging
• Changes the code (bringing it in line with the documentation) so that . is appended to the path if one exists otherwise to the filename
