I tried to set up navigation with Navit 0.5.4 and everything worked fine except of the annuoncements.

They stopping after some time of driving especially when i drive a wrong direction after that the only announcement that comes is "when possible please turn around". I tried it with the standard navit.xml with only basic gps and map settings, and with all possible setups that i found. I tried it with an echo output of the announcements but with the same result as with espeak

Has anybody an idea what i'm doing wrong ?

that is my last config file : <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<!DOCTYPE config SYSTEM "navit.dtd">

After further testing with some settings like : cdf_histsize="4" route_pref="1000" i came to the conclusion that it must be a bug maybe caused by:

Once again the navigation is working all the time perfectly and some times the announcement too. Once you leave the route so the system must recalculate you will get "when possible please turn around" and that are the last words you hear. After a wile "when possible please turn around" comes even though you are on the right way.

After driving for about 200 km and testing that i give up, this problem was already occurring with the version 0.5.0 from about 2015.
