nextract plus pulls statistics from the Power Systems HMC by using the HMC Performance and Capacity Monitoring REST API in to four useful formats or graphs. nextract plus is a few Python programs that extract 1) Performance statistics at server level, VIOS level and LPAR (virtual machine) level, 2) Energy statistics (Temperature and electical Watts) at a server level and 3) Shared Storage Pools (SSP) statistics from the VIOS and include server level and LPAR (virtual machines) stats. This data is indepentant of the operating system, so includes AIX, VIOS, IBM i and Linux running on the Power server range.

This nextract tool is not an IBM product, so there is no IBM support. It is the personal project of the author. All of the program Python source code and sample data is available in the download file.
