I am considering replacing the current Coke Oven and Blast Furnace with the ones from Immersive Engineering. A large motivator is removing confusion. Also Immersive Engineering has a book that would help guide players.

Tasks

To begin you will need an Engineer's Hammer.

  1. Craft an Engineer's Hammer. a. Optional, craft a Engineer's manual. It will show you the steps I am giving.

    To make the Coke Oven:

The Coke Oven multiblock, is a 9x9x9 structure, made of up Immersive Engineering's Coke Brick.

  1. Start collecting clay and sugar cane or bamboo.
  2. Craft 27 Craft Coke Bricks. each requires 2 clay and 2 sugar cane. So 54 of each is needed. You can use bamboo in place of the sugar cane.
  3. To build the Coke Oven, place the Coke Bricks in a 3 wide by 3 deep by 3 tall cube. Note it's a solid cube nothing is hollow.
  4. Right click on of the side's center blocks. This will form the multiblock.

To make the Crude Blast Furnace:

The Crude Blast Furnace multiblock, is a 9x9x9 structure, made of up Immersive Engineering's Blast Brick.

  1. Collect Abyssal Stone. These are found in geodes under large bodies of water. You will need 108 of them. Once you have them start smelting them.
  2. Make some lava harden bricks, these are bricks cooked with lava in the Copper Vat. You need 27 of them.
  3. Make some Wrought Iron Lattice. This is made in the Bloomery Furnace. You need 10 iron.
  4. Craft 27 Blast Bricks.
  5. To build the Blast Oven Multiblock. Place the Blast Bricks in a 3 by 3 by 3 cube. It's a solid cube.
  6. Right click on of the side's center blocks. This will form the multiblock.

    Feedback

Is the Engineer's Hammer recipes too hard, or easy? Can you collect all of the Abyssal Stone from one geode? I think you can. How does requiring the Engineer's Hammer to form multiblocks feel to you? How does this Coke Oven feel Compared to the Railcraft Coke Oven? You can make that Coke Oven sooner, without having to find Aluminum or tin. Which recipes for the Engineer's Hammer do you prefer? should I remove one of them?
