The project consists in using javascript libraries for graph visualization of id number sequences, fetched from The On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences (OEIS) by means the script python crawling.py in this repository. The purpose of this work is to show the relations between the sequences and analyze their properties.

Sor far, we have used two approaches:

First approach:

you have to create the file globalJSON.json which contains all json files that collect all the informations about every single fetched sequence. Such informations are used to generate the nodes and the edges of the graphs. To create the globalJSON.json you have to run in a shell py_convert.py, with the command:

1) py py_convert.py (on Windows) 2) python py_convert.py (on Linux)

Besides you can use py_utility.py to modify the initialized json files and make them in pure json format

Next you can open index.html, navigate with the browser and using the developed functionality.

Second approach (our current approach):

Make ajax requests to localhost to fetch and to read the sequences. So you have only to open index.html for drawing the graphs with the fetched sequences and to fetch new ones.

The used library are: 1) sigma: used to generate the graphs. We have also used the related plugins. 2) jquery: used to insert some elements in the HTML page index.html like the accordion menù in order to show the developed functionality and the informations associated to the sequences.

To receive ajax requests we need to use a web server like Apache. We have downloaded xampp(wikipedia) and written the scripts in the folder htdocs. The htdocs represents the root of our server. We have managed the file httpd.conf in order to permit to our server to receive AJAX requests. The database can be created by xampp. In the database created there is only one table called json. You can create it using the sql script table_json.sql present in the repository.
