Getting Fatal Error #24

Open fathead919 opened 3 years ago

Tried using both V2 and V2.3 but both return a Fatal Error 'Failed to Execute Script'.

Initial run always fail as my AntiVirus flags, but then I authorize to make changes. On subsequent attempts I get the fatal error. I have run as admin and as not, with POE open and closed. Am on a Win10 machine and access POE through Steam if any of that makes a difference.

Thanks.

I can also confirm that I am having this issue. Running w10 with non-steam native client, however. Fatal Error 'Failed to Execute Script'.

I am also having this issue. I added all the necessary lines in the Setup file but still does not work.

notablackbear commented 3 years ago

Hi guys, if you are running the pre-release of 2.0.3:

Please close this issue if that fixes your problems

NickReinlein commented 3 years ago

I am having this issue too. I followed the steps above. It still gives the same error and I don't see a log in the same folder as QOLV2. Is it elsewhere?

So far it has run only once for me when I set a full directory path in the setup.ini for the filter. Subsequent runs have all failed.

dobrelaurentiu commented 3 years ago

So, I did absolutely nothing and suddenly it works. No idea what happened...

NickReinlein commented 3 years ago

@dobrelaurentiu Same for me. I tried again with a full filepath and it worked. I ran it 3 times to make sure it works. It might be intermittent?

fathead919 commented 3 years ago

@notablackbear, that did not fix the issue. However, I went into my Anti-Virus and disabled the Feature (Safe Files) that was killing the initial launch. Then the program ran just fine. Something was being blocked even though the program was on the approved list.

Hi, the same Problem here. I have redownloaded both versions added the debug tag but I still get the error and no log file has been generated in the Program dir

dobrelaurentiu commented 3 years ago

@LoneWolfHowl It might be. I tried it out today and worked fine.

@Iyukje Are you sure that you filled the Setup.ini file properly ? Maybe also have a look into your Antivirus (if you have one)

xerance commented 3 years ago

tried everything above, also getting fatal error

Iyukje commented 3 years ago

I'm sure that I have filled the values in the setup.ini file correct. I also get the same Error when I deactivate my Antivirus. A possible cause could be that my Document Folder is redirected as an Onedrive Sync'ed Folder. But event using the complete Path C:\Users\USERNMAE\OneDrive\Dokumente\my games\Path of Exile\POEQOL_Base.filter does not change it. Where does the debug flag create the error log dokument?

Instructions in earlier comment (also edited out "pernarch" entries in the filter manually by editing it): https://github.com/notablackbear/poe_qolV2/issues/24#issuecomment-695037639

Worked for me! (I did have to add in the parenthetical league ID number after my private league to get it going, though, on the off chance anyone else here is in one as well).
