xprofile is compatible with and tested on python versions:
A universal installation method is to use pip (the pip package is available here
_)::
$ pip install --upgrade xprofile
Before installing xprofile with pip see if a package for your Operating System exists.
To install xprofile for arch linux you can use the AUR package

# This is an example using yaourt
$ yaourt -S xprofile
Once xprofile
has been installed you can execute the following command to get
some help::
$ xprofile --help
usage: xprofile [-h] [--verbose] [--config CONFIG] [--version]
{list,current,generate,activate} ...

optional arguments:
-h, --help show this help message and exit
--verbose output more verbosely
--config CONFIG config file to read profiles from
--version show program's version number and exit
subcommands:
The following commands are available
{list,current,generate,activate}
list list all available xrandr profiles
current get information about the current active profile
generate generate a new profile and print to stdout
activate activate the given profile or automatically select one
To get detailed help for a specific subcommand use::
$ xprofile [subcommand] --help
