better way to delete a node #12

"(drop node here to remove)" is too small an area and is not always on screen due to scrolling for long sentences.

Maybe a larger drop target with a fixed screen position would be a better alternative? Or a keyboard shortcut?

Hacked together a solution with two large wastebasket icons, one positioned below the tree, one fixed at the top right of the viewport:
