Where should this go? bf:extent?

kiegel commented 9 years ago

The information in this subfield relates to the preceding entry and needs to be associated with it. It is not extent. The kind of information in $g varies: "numeric and/or alphabetic, chronological, or other designation that identifies the relationship of the resource with the related item" (CONSER Editing Guide).

We talked about it and don't see a good solution. $g is part of the description of the related resource, not the resource being described, yet it is specific to the resource being described. In other words, it needs to be part of the Work for the related title, but coded to show that it applies only to the Work referring to it. BF doesn't have properties for that.

well, it is in the related work; I could make it a bf:note for now.
