I am using saxon9he.jar; when I run the converter I have been getting warning messages about these lines implying they weren't working.
I commented them out, and ... voila ... no warnings and the converter works fine.
If these are to remain in, perhaps documentation about which versions of saxon can make use of them? And if they are to go away, perhaps the documentation needs to be changed as it implies there are defaults ... but they aren't functional.
