To start the production of the first batch of the ochin board is important to set the number of the boards to produce, in order to keep the price low. Please comment let me know if you're interested to buy one or more ochin boards. The price will be known when we reach a sufficient number of interest declaration. THIS IS WITHOUT ANY OBBLIGATION for anybody. Please consider the chip shortage too, the production date depends also on the availability of materials. But i think we will do it!

Not possible because it doesn't have the hdmi interface.. maybe in the future i will make one for the ground station too!

Hello Careyer, I would start with 100 boards min. From the beginning of the campaign we have 4 weeks to reach the threshold, otherwise the campaign will fail, but i don't think it will be a problem... the biggest problem at the moment is the availability of the components .. it is incredible but if you take a ride on mouser, rs-components or digikey it is practically everything backordered and the warehouses are empty.... sorry to keep you waiting but the chip shortage it's a global problem, i'm trying to do it as soon as possible. In the meantime i will update you with more test.

Some of you asked to have one of the prototype but unfortunately is not possible. This is because costed a lot (and you don't wanna pay that mutch) and i only have few units. I decided to give a couple to peoples that have some visibility on youtube to make video and gain popularity, hopefully we'll have more people interested.

as the range is board-independent and just related to wifi cards and antennas: sure, if your wifi card/antenna setup is sufficient

Hello everyone, I'm sorry not to have updated you anymore but unfortunately things did not go as I hoped .. due to the chip shortage it is practically impossible to find the components to produce ochin boards from official distributors (we are talking about deliveries in 2023 ..). When I found the components from "alternative" distributors, the prices have risen shamefully, for example the USB2514 (usb hub), the cost before the shortage was 3$/pc on mouser, now those who have some chip in stock, sell them at 20$/pc, moreover they don't are reliable and I'm not sure how they stored the chips, as long as they really have them ... But I'm not the type of guy who give up easily .. so I completely redesigned the board (even though it worked perfectly) selecting components that are currently widely available on the market. The layout of the connectors and the functionalities have remained the same and I have also made some improvements. For example I have improved the power supply that is now able to deliver up to 8A of which 4A to the USBs (you can power anything;) almost). At the moment I'm waiting for the new prototypes to arrive, as soon as they arrive I test them and then we start with the first batch! I keep you updated and hopefully someone doesn't buy all the chips !!
