Hi, I came across this scraper code a month ago and was able to run it successfully through Gitpod. I am trying again now and I cannot find the run.py file. What changed?

I had the same issue and contacted them about it. I got this answer:

We have made the decision to transition our Tool from Python and Node.js versions to a desktop application. This change is aimed at providing you with a more user-friendly and convenient experience while utilizing our Tool.

Please be advised that the last available version of the Python and Node.js implementations is dated October 4, 2024. Should you wish to access this version, you may do so by visiting the following link: ***

To install and use this version, please follow the instructions provided in the README.md file included in above zip file.

We kindly request your understanding that, moving forward, all future updates and improvements will be exclusively available for the desktop version of our Tool. As a result, we will no longer provide updates or support for the Python and Node.js versions.

Alternatively, to use the Desktop Version, please follow these steps:

  1. Install the Desktop App by visiting https://github.com/omkarcloud/google-maps-scraper#-requirements.
  2. Activate your Pro version by visiting ***.
