APD Qualitative Summaries to accompany existing Incident data #7

Inspired by this twitter conversation...

APD :cop: publishes Year to Date Incident data via data.austintexas.gov: https://data.austintexas.gov/Public-Safety/APD-Incident-Extract-YTD/b4y9-5x39

But all you get is:

You can also request 6 days of data at at time via: https://www.austintexas.gov/police/reports/alt_search.cfm Though the case summaries are almost always excluded.

There is also this link on the APD Webpage about "Datasets", though the "Annual Crime Dataset" is from 2014. (Maybe 2015 is coming soon? But why not link to the YTD data in the portal?) And this link about "Reports".

The goal is got move us further to the right on this graph:

Also discovered this FOIA request generator called foiamachine.org, so I decided to see how it works. And to see what extent of data is available. How many columns of information will they give back?
