The following issues related to reference selection should be fixed:

The reference selection combobox can still be changed while acquisition is active (although this doesn't change the underlying reference)
The colors used to represent Ext and Tip reference are hard to distinguish
The color visualization doesn't update when the GUI is launched (it only changes after the reference has been changed manually)

These are fixed in the latest version of the plugin.
