502 Bad Gateway for all token requests #103

Since at least 16:29 today, HSBC has been returning a 502 response with body {"description":"Bad Gateway"} for all requests to the client credentials endpoint.

Without client credentials, all AISP services have been unavailable.

This appears to have been resolved, which has been confirmed by HSBC. Will add additional information here on the nature of the incident if I get any further information.

We've been able to confirm that the incident is due to a problem with the Open Banking Directory. Some ASPSPs (Nationwide & HSBCG) require a webservice that OBIE are responsible for to remain up, and "fail closed" when this webservice is unavailable.
