Recently a rebuild of SEPAL nearly break all application and gettting everything back online took almost a week. There are currently 27 repositories in sepal-contrib and most of them are currently used in SEPAL.
This number is only going to grow and I think avoiding this type of issues is my priority so I would like to help revamp the file piloting the app management (https://github.com/openforis/sepal/blob/master/modules/app-manager/src/apps.js).
improvement that I would like to take care of:
[ ] use a config file from the app to guess some of the parameters (https://github.com/openforis/sepal/issues/154, https://github.com/openforis/sepal/issues/143)
[x] do things in the inverse order to avoid kernels pointing to nowhere i.e.:
[x] use pip directly on the requirement.txt file (https://github.com/openforis/sepal/blob/master/modules/app-manager/install-requirements.sh) doing it that way was an atempt to avoid an issue with the official release of bfast but that's solved since we are using the one from my repo. I think it's slowing down the installation of requirements.
