cron package on nodes #562

Reported by naughtont on 27 Jul 2009 19:27 UTC It appears that the cron package was not installed on compute nodes. This system was build with a devel/early release of OSCAR and this may have been resolved since that installation, if so disregard.

OSCAR Version: 6.0.4 (taken from /etc/oscar/VERSION) System name: XTORC Distro: Ubuntu 8.04.3 (LTS) on x86

Issue: Symptom compute nodes do not run tasks in '/etc/cron.d/', and there was no 'crontab' command or 'cron' package installed.

 node3:$ which crontab
 node3:$ dpkg-query -l cron
 No packages found matching crontab.
