No climate entity #76

Hello and thank you for making this integration, I wanted to point out that for the HiSense model 3amw52u4rja 32 WiFi (Hardware: 009-104) unfortunately the “climate” entity is not detected but rather the ones you see in the screenshot. How can I help you?

@techunleadit I see mqtt in your log - are you running this integration (installed via HACS) or the MQTT one: https://github.com/bilan/connectlife-api-connector ?

I see from the screenshot that is looks your are running this integration - is that in addition to the MQTT one?

I'm not able to repro (using your device dump with the API test server).

Which version of Home Assistant are you running?

Anything relevant in homeassistant.log?

Hi @oyvindwe, I have the same issue, but Im running your integration and addon from Bilan (https://github.com/bilan/connectlife-api-connector) at the same time, but using different names for same devices. Can this be a problem?

@kalda123 That is possible. It could be that this integration and the add-on generates the same unique id for climate entities.

Are you able to check the Home Assistant log file for any issues?

You could also try to deactivate the add-on and see if that help. You may have to remove the entity created by MQTT first though.

Another thing to try - edit this line in custom_components/connectlife/climate.py:

        self._attr_unique_id = f"{appliance.device_id}-climate"

E.g. change it to:

        self._attr_unique_id = f"{appliance.device_id}-climate-test"

Then restart HA and see if the entity appears.

Sorry, you are right I got confused. I see to remove the MQTT integration and reboot with yours only. From HomeAssistant OS it is more difficult to launch debug as described on GitHub, in the logs there is no possibility to see something? Do I set it to debug mode? What do you think?

So, I was playing with it little bit during weekend, integration is mostly working as expected, but sometimes I recieved errors during controlling the devices, examples:

Timeout fetching connectlife data

I´m still using your integradion and Bilan´s addon at the same time, so next testing will be with your integration only. BTW Bilan´s addon is still working without any faults or warning in logs, therefore I´m using it primarily.

Which device do you have? And what does fan speed 1 correspond to in the ConnectLife app?

I have two 009-104 units. And I dont know, where fan speed 1 means, I thing I was trying to start some sleep regime (to have low fan speed and light turn off), not manually, but using one of presets (sleep1-sleep4). I´m not 100% sure, its couple days back.

The timeouts are most likely the ConnectLife API that is overloaded. See issue #86 for this.

@techunleadit yes, set the integration to debug. Did it work if you disable the MQTT integration?

I didn't find the trigger, it sometimes happen but mostly not...

Closing as support for device 009-104 was added in PR #64

If anybody is able to reproduce the t_fan_speed problem, please create a separate issue.
