Input bar closing on its own #296

Bug Description

When the input bar is first selected, it immediately closes on its own, and has to be reopened.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Join a chat
  2. Immediately press on the input bar
  3. Input bar will open, then close

Expected Behavior

Input bar should stay open
