Monthly email with update on last month's activities is good to keep track.

AmandaPDSC commented 11 years ago

Could there be a list of uploads by date, like how you get bank statements for a particular period? So we would know what had been added in a certain timeframe.

AmandaPDSC commented 11 years ago

We need to be able to search on two more fields in the item admin metadata - date metadata entry created and date modified.

silviapfeiffer commented 11 years ago

Recently imported files are listed here: http://catalog.paradisec.org.au/admin/file_processing

silviapfeiffer commented 11 years ago

Please register a new bug for the search problem and the upload search - this one is about monthly email.

silviapfeiffer commented 11 years ago

You can find this now in the Admin section under "Catalog Report". http://catalog.paradisec.org.au/admin/catalog_report

AmandaPDSC commented 11 years ago

the monthly email referred to above doesn't seem to have been implemented, so I'm reopening this item

johnf commented 10 years ago

Just want to check if email is a strict requirement now that you can go and run these reports whenever you want for any period in the past?

AmandaPDSC commented 10 years ago

@LindaBarwick and @nthieberger do you want to comment on this?

nthieberger commented 10 years ago

I think the online reports work well, but it may be good to be able to download the stats in CSV format so we can write reports or graph our progress. I don't think we need email reports.

Could you give an example of what you would like in the CSV and how far back it should go?

@LindaBarwick Yes I have been having trouble getting the online reports working.

What trouble are you having?

nthieberger commented 10 years ago

I'd like the CSV downloads of collection metrics to include the following:

Date Summary Statistics New Collections New Files File Type Metrics

With this information we can then draw charts of content, and write blogs about additions to NABU.

They should have a period for measuring the new collections

Just updated the title to better reflect what's needed. Currently, an admin can generate a report for a given month, but it would be nice to be able to generate a report for any arbitrary period between selectable dates, even if it's by month blocks, i.e., 'from January to December, 2013', or 'from August to October 2014'.

NickWardPDSC commented 1 year ago

still outstanding (and pretty stale, obviously). But how important is it for us? I have had to report on multiple months before, but it's been quite easy to generate one report for each month and then paste the data together as required. Oh, but these reports still just generate inside Nabu/admin section, without option to export as csv, which would be 'nice to have'

johnf commented 6 months ago

@nthieberger Is this still relevant? If so can you open a new issue with that summarises the current requirements and close this one?
