@enwardy @nthieberger @AmandaPDSC Are you able to provide any guidance on what this field would be known as in the RIF-CS or OLAC schemas? I have been reading through the documentation and I can't find a field which seems appropriate to represent the "collector narrative".
see my comment on #606 from yesterday - as we are now planning to link to the collector bio info which will be in our (PARADISEC) website, I'm thinking we will just try to add the link's target address (something like www.paradisec.org.au/collections/collectors/Joe_Collector) to the feed. I'm waiting to hear back from someone at Research Data Australia who understands the feeds better about how best to do this. I'll come back to you.
Actually this only needs to be implemented for Rif-CS, not for OLAC (=OAI-PMH)
@enwardy can you please clarify with ANDS as to whether they can do anything with the link to the bio page, or should we drop this issue altogether. Not needed for item level feeds.
I would recommend the following on the Party record:
< relatedInfo type="website"> < identifier type="url">linkgoeshere < title>Collector Biographical Information (or whatever you like here - can be custom to the author, e.g. Tom's Bio < /relatedInfo>
See an example of the above at https://researchdata.ands.org.au/dr-diana-young/260235 - scroll down to 'related websites'. In this example, the title value is "Browse by AuthorID - Young, Diana" and the relationship was not provided, so it has defaulted to "Associated with". So depending on your title, you can have "Associated with Tom's Bio" or "Associated with this author's biographical information webpage"
can still be done, once the collectors page is completed (by me, but has been on the backburner for a while now). So , Removing priority tag for now
@nthieberger Looks like #604 and #606 didn't go ahead, so not needed?
