I can't reproduce that. This can be fixed in SA-MP.

I remember this use to happen all the time but it seems like not anymore, maybe SAMP fixed this at some point?

Nope. My server uses 0.3.7 R2 and a player reported this bug: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rgf1LYR9HVY (he thought it was a server bug, but it isn't)

I also reproduced this bug few months ago with 0.3.7. While I was sliding in vehicle from the co-driver passenger seat I was hitting space key fast, or just long pressed it, I didn't use any shift key, if I remember correctly.
