Rhythm and Time Toolkit (rtt)
Rhythm and Time Toolkit (RTT) is a package of Max objects and patches for working with time, rhythm, and melody. RTT makes it easy to build a powerful, playable sequencers for instruments inside or outside of Max. It incorporates ideas from modular synthesis, drum machines, and computer music into an flexible set of tools for composition, beat making, and live performance. RTT’s objects were made with RNBO, and the package includes tons of help files, abstractions, extras, and examples that make it easy to get up and running quickly.
Prerequisites
Max 8.5 or above for Mac or Windows is recommended.
Installation
The best way to install RTT is through the Max Package Manager. Open Max, and choose File > Show Package Manager to open the Max Package Manager. Search for "Rhythm and Time Toolkit", select the package, and then click "Install".
Getting Started
Once you've installed the package, click the Launch Button inside the package manager or open RhythmAndTimeToolkit.maxpat for an overview of the package.

- Max help patches (.maxhelp | seq/help) and reference documentation (.maxref.xml | /docs) for each external
- Max Snippets (.maxsnip | /snippets): pre-built bits of patching that make patching with seq objects faster
- Modules: (/patchers/modules) Fully-featured abstractions that include a seq~ object, UI, and preset support using Max's pattr system. Each seq object has its own module.
- Examples: (/examples) Example patches that show seq objects in action
- Extras and Helpers: (/extras and /patchers/helpers) Additional useful abstractions for using and learning about RTT
