While testing sensible @epcjr found a few installation issues when installing the standalone Esmond RPM:

On el7, httpd is not enabled by default. Looking at the .spec, this appears to be an oversight
mod_ssl is not in the requirements, so no SSL by default either

Also check if it is enabling cassandra
