I have a Lenovo Z6 which is similar to the Z5. Disabling the Superuser app will disable the fingerprint sensor. Reenabling it fixes the problem.

@xplozia had you already disabled the Superuser app or Magisk?

@kannony Yes, only Superuser, Magisk is not installed.

@xplozia hmm... I don't know if this is by coincidence that we both lost access to our fingerprint sensor on similar hardware from the same manufacturer after disabling Superuser. I would try a factory reset from the recovery.

Before, was installed PixelExperience with Android 9, worked fine with this PE, but with other bugs, but the fingerprint workr fine and Google Camera 6.2, now finger print not working, Gcam not working. I love AOSP because is clean, without unused Apps.

Flash AOSP10 under Android 8.1, the fingerPrint work fine. But it has display and the MTP issue. Flash ASOP 10 under Andriod 9.0 , all would be fine except the fingerPrint.

I installed from QFIL the version L78011_CN_OPEN_USER_Q00016.0_O_ZUI_4.0.474_ST_190118_qpst and after that from ADB the version AOSP 10.0 v222 and fingerprint worked fine. I'm back to PE 9 because, cameraa not working fine in Whatsapp, I cant install any GCam and other few things.

On 4.0.474 it's worked always. Don't work on version after 4.0.474. Try 10.5.306 or 11.1.053.
