Microphone issue during calls #2268

Hello,

There is an issue with microphone in my Redmi Note 10S. I am using AOSP Floss secure v411. This is a Mediatek SoC. When i receive a call, if my phone is on speaker/earpiece the microphone is not working, when i toggle the earpiece/speaker once, it starts working. This seems to only happen on normal call, and an app is not the cause because i've tried both stock app, and the app by google.

hey pranav, i have the same device and i never faced that issue or any mic related problem, the only issue i have is in-call volume always on max and not adjustable, do you have that too ? someone here posted a solution for Redmi 9T and it's not working for 10s

Hello @abdujack, I don't think I have that issue. But I have another issue regarding call. When I am on call on speaker, the volume always remains Max. It doesnot reduce. Are you talking about that?

@abdujack you are also using FLOSS Secure version?

I removed ims apk, unchecked 2 options in IMS settings(because my current sim doesnot support VoLTE) and the problem is different now. Now, microphone only works when call is on earpiece, when I put it on speaker, the microphone doesnot work.

@phhusson anything on this?

I am facing a similar issue. If I receive a call on mic, everything's fine, but then I switch to speaker, everything's fine still but when i switch back to mic again, the other person is unable to hear me at all.

Yeah, the cause is probably not clear. Can you tell me the device you are using?
