Support device-specific packages #241

Open phhusson opened 6 years ago

Based on the local-update support, it is possible to extend it to support device-specific packages.

For instance, some devices needs charger images for off-line charging, or some needs extra libs to have working Camera 2, etc.

Ideally, the Treble app would keep a flashable zip for that in its own /data/data, and after every GSI update, treble app would trigger the install of the device-specific package.

Cf #240

ok, that probably what I'm missing Any Idea when this feature could be implemented ?

Would could be able to build such device specific packages? I guess it will be difficult to get documentation on whats needed ? I've for example a bv9900, but nothing is documented on blackview. At least I was not able to find it.

Why do you need this?

You mentioned that it is needed for camera support and loading when device is off, Thats the two issues I have on my bv9900
