2 years ago that happens to me too. since this is just pure aosp with patches i guess some stuff is not included. some background apps that are also required to run it? idk maybe try other gsi's which have it e.g. crdroid 8.9, ArrowOS 12.1, Xdroid, pixel experience etc.

i took adb logcat after i installed the wallpaper app and tried to open it. here are the logs. logs.txt

Can you try doing this here?
i switched to spark os 13 gsi. i am daily driving it. Although i think i can use DSU sideloader on top of a existing installed gsi. i'll give it a try.

Can you try doing this here?
idk if i did something wrong but pushing the apk to that location did nothing. its not even installed after a reboot. thats wierd. i usually use terminal systemizer although i cant install magisk rn on this. secureize option is not working. and magisk complains alot.

2 years ago since this is still dead what you could do is try repainter. it is free and allows themeing with your wallpaper.
Current Behavior:
Background and Styles just crashes when using it in this GSI. AOSP and PE has it preinstalled and it works.
Describe the bug
If you dont know what Background and styles is, it is the app to choose theme colors I installed this GSI through fastboot and installed the apk for background and styles. I try to launch it by pressing long on the home screen, choosing background and then choosing the app, it just crashes.
To Reproduce
1. Download this apk: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-wallpaper-picker/google-wallpaper-picker-12-7813233-release/ 2. Install it. 3. Go to the home screen 4. Long press on Background 5. Click on the option that says something like com.google.wallpapers 6. It crashes ### Expected behavior The app should start without any problems. ### Photos ### Smartphone (please complete the following information): - Device: Redmi Note 10S - Build Flavor: system-squeak-arm64-ab-gapps.img.xz - Version V414 ### Additional context I installed it through fastboot.
