Pingo organization for the Pingo.io project #1

Hello, @pingo, @sn0e (Max Móren) and/or Eric Olsson.

This is to ask you to release or rename the pingo organization at Github (not the @pingo username, just the organization). It seems you have not used it since 2011, and I am part of a growing community who would like to use it.

My name is Luciano Ramalho, and I lead the http://pingo.io project which started at the Garoa Hacker Clube -- a community hackerspace in São Paulo, Brazil.

Pingo is a multi-platform Python API to make it easier to program devices with GPIO. It's an active community project, open source, using the liberal MIT license. Here is a presentation about it: https://speakerdeck.com/ramalho/pingo-means-pin-go

The Pingo repositories are now hosted at the Garoa organization in Github:

We are soon going to create other repos, to support sub-projects specific to add-on boards, so it would be great to move all the Pingo repos to a pingo organization.

Would you like to help the Pingo project by transferring the github.com/pingo organization to us? We would happily give you credit for the donation in our CONTRIBUTORS.txt:

Best regards,

Luciano Ramalho Twitter: @ramalhoorg

Hello Luciano!

Your request seems very reasonable to me, but as far as I can tell, there is no pingo organization (at least I'm not a member of it). I think the WIPS repo is hosted directly on the @pingo account. In that case, that user must be deleted for you to be able to use it for an organization, I think. Or maybe I am misunderstanding the situation?

In any case, this is for @pingo to decide. I can take over the repo if that's needed.

Hello, Erik, thank you very much for your response.

Yes, now I realize there is no pingo organization, and WIPS is hosted directly on @pingo's account.

Anyway, it seems @pingo is not using the account for anything, so if he would not mind moving the WIPS repo to another user or organization and deleting the pingo account, that would be great. Just let me know if you'll do it and when, so I can create the pingo org.

Best regards,

Luciano
