Hi!

thank you Serge for fixing the edi2eti converter. However it seems one of those streams (239.16.242.14:60014) still is a little different then all the other muxes and is not decoded. All those packets have fragement count=1

andimik commented 5 years ago

I am sorry, on the same frequency there are two transponders, one is V and one is H. So the polarity was wrong...

jpuigs commented 5 years ago

Since yesterday, I can't receive the Turkish TRT signal @ 42 East

jpuigs commented 5 years ago

It's back again.

andimik commented 4 years ago

Another DAB+ ensemble from Germany can now be received using EDI: rbb (Berlin and Brandenburg).

Note, it's not the complete DAB stream, only the DAB audio streams (= no EPG, no TPEG)

I found this hint at https://github.com/Opendigitalradio/dablin/tree/next

Syntax: wget -q -O - https://rbbedi.irt.de:443/services/x | dablin_gtk -f edi -I (please use latest commit from the next branch)

I've found more..... Thanks for your investigations!

Indeed, only BR and rbb from Germany (despite of IRT) seem to take part in this new technology.

From Belgium, Flemish VRT also can be heard (is 12A in Belgium):

I found it via http://search-hradio.irt.de/ and checked internet traffic and finally got the URL.

Next step is to find out how to combine it to a complete Ensemble ...

basicmaster commented 4 years ago

Indeed, only BR and rbb from Germany (despite of IRT) seem to take part in this new technology.

Currently this is rather a test. The complete ensemble is not available, as the project goal is to have a stream of a single service with low bandwidth which also includes the transmitted services like DL(+) and/or Slideshow.

newspaperman commented 4 years ago

Very interesting, but where is the origin source? The IRT is in Munich but only the BR mux can be received terestically.

andimik commented 4 years ago

According to utrace it's in Kassel, Hessen. But I don't believe that...

basicmaster commented 4 years ago

Very interesting, but where is the origin source? The IRT is in Munich but only the BR mux can be received terestically.

The BR ensemble is actually retrieved via terrestrial reception at the moment. The rbb ensemble is at least not fed via any satellite contribution ;-)

basicmaster commented 4 years ago

BR is still available, but it seems that there is some ongoing work (I don't know).

jpuigs commented 4 years ago

andimik commented 4 years ago

http://search-hradio.irt.de/ again lists BR and VRT. I am pretty sure they we not available yesterday and the search page did not list them.

But thanks for the report.

Should I include them in the Readme.md?

andimik commented 4 years ago

Update regarding combining the streams to one valid DAB stream:

I guess it works with cat test_edi.txt | xargs -P 12 -n 1 curl | dablin_gtk -f edi -I -1

test_edi.txt

But my internet connection is too bad to test it. And you cannot get the ETI file out from dablin_gtk ...

jpuigs commented 4 years ago

It works, but has a lot of interruptions. I have a 100 Mbit/s UL/DL fiber connection, but although they all appear on list, it's not possible to hear them right.

basicmaster commented 4 years ago

A complete DAB ensemble requires about 2 mbps; as some FIC parts are transmitted multiple times, the bandwidth has to be a bit higher - but the bandwidth is not a problem here. This simply won't work because the received bytes are just "thrown together" though the EDI packet borders had to be considered here. There is no easy way to combine all these channels in one stream without any further ado. BTW this also was not the intention of these provided EDI services ;-)

andimik commented 4 years ago

Sure, but it was a nice try by a non-programmer like me...

andimik commented 4 years ago

There is a new mux (NRK Reg1 OsloVik) on 0.8 deg West!

Reg2 has been renamed to "NRK Reg2 VeTeVik" and Reg4 has been renamed to "NRK Reg4 Vest" (I hope that's right) recently.

Therefore, the transponder has changed its symbol rate from 4800 to 5400 and slightly changed from 10719 to 10720 MHz (carrier is in S2/8PSK and its bandwidth is 7.3 MHz)

grafik

Note, that this is still theory as currently this transponder cannot be decoded and used with any known tool.

You only can see it in the hex editor within a capture file written by a GSE compatible DVB-S2 decoder.

I've updated the Readme.

jpuigs commented 4 years ago

Note, that this is still theory as currently this transponder cannot be decoded and used with any known tool.

..... and even it can't be received in some parts of South, Eastern and Western Europe.....

HRadio start android app with the same name and EDI stations from BR,RBB and VRT with slideshows,DLS,EPG and timeshifted content on some stations. Also have many station from UK, but Shoutcast.

andimik commented 4 years ago

This seems to be the same like the webpage http://search-hradio.irt.de/ . So no need to install this app.

k-otixxx commented 4 years ago

The big difference is the Timeshift. Some radio shows few weeks ago with recorded content(e.g.Bayern 2)

andimik commented 4 years ago

EuroDAB and DAB Italia are now on Eutelsat 9A at 9.0E 12034 MHz Vertical 27500 8PSK 3/4 DVB-S2

Same PIDs like they had on 12 West: 777 and 1025

I expect that they will switch off soon on 5 West.

Readme has been updated.

k-otixxx commented 4 years ago

I have no slideshows on 9E with DAB Italia with Dablin player, the same case as ERT mux on 39 East. EuroDAB is with slideshows. P.S. But the same is on 5W Dab Italia.([X-PAD len] [X-PAD len] [X-PAD len] [X-PAD len] [X-PAD len] SDLOutput: silence s) and now slideshows.

andimik commented 4 years ago

Now or no?

k-otixxx commented 4 years ago

No Slideshows on DAB Italia.

andimik commented 4 years ago

No, I can't confirm that. Slideshow work on 12C DAB Italia. Seems you did not start the tool with the right parameter.

Please try

dablin_gtk -L

k-otixxx commented 4 years ago

I will try . I am using satellite feed on 9 east, not live transmission in Italy.

andimik commented 4 years ago

Me too, although I am living 3 km away from the Italian border (but there are no DAB signals here).

The signal on 5 West or 9 East is the same like in Italy of course.

k-otixxx commented 4 years ago

Yes , parameter -L helped. :) Thanks a lot!

@humaxboy, I think you've seen it on FLYSAT. It's OK, but there are a few wrong names. I've corrected them, you'll find soon there.

M80 Radio and Máxima FM were renamed to Los 40 Classic and Los 40 Dance. And Máxima FM Cat is wrong. It's "Els 40 Classic Cat".

jpuigs - can I ask you for a favour ? 23,5 E : Bundesmux 5C 12641V SR 1342 and WDR 11D 12645V SR 1489 Can you list at least all Serv.Id. on both frequencies ? Thanks !

I see they have already listed. 😄

humaxboy commented 4 years ago

On 62 E 11485 H, SR 1161 there should be 3 romanian radio stations Magic FM Romania PID 1001/IP 230.0.0.1 Rock FM Romania PID 1002/IP 230.0.0.2 Kiss FM Romania PID 1003/IP 230.0.0.3

Can somebody tell me which port they are using ? It that AAC or mpe2mpa format ? If it is mpe2mpa, which main PID ?

andimik commented 4 years ago

Just record it (no matter if the complete transport stream or one PID after the other) and open the file(s) in Wireshark. It will tell you the port.

Of course you could share it with us and we analyze it.

But I will ask Ron from TS Reader to include the port as well in the IP window.

As you can receive 62 East, could you please check the Middle East Transponders (which might be received in Central Europe as well) for data PIDs (around 400 or 500 kBit)? I think there is a new ensemble.

Don't do it!! I did it some time ago, and it is already working. This is the german feed at 7 East. 😄😄😄

Ok, good to know. Didn't recognize it so far!

jpuigs commented 4 years ago

Rod (not Ron) told me that TSReader would show up to 16 of the UDP destination ports being seen on UDP packets associated with that IP. It's working since mid december 😃 .

Guys, the problem is that i don't own TBS + all tools needed to analyze, that is why am I asking this question. My only tool is my STB :-). I know that this are maybe stupid questions for you, but seeking for info regarding this reception is very hard. Thanks in advance !

andimik commented 4 years ago

Then record this PID with your STB, zip it (9,9 MBytes maximum ) and post it.

62.0E_11486,260_H1160(2020-02-22 20.16.16)_dump.zip

I've ask a friend with a bigger dish and he sent me that file.

You can listen to the radios with

cat ./62.0E_11486\,260_H_1160_\(2020-02-22\ 20.16.16\)_dump.ts | mpe2aac 1001 230.0.0.1 10001 | vlc -

They are using pid 1001 ip 230.0.0.1 port 10001 pid 1002 ip 230.0.0.2 port 10002 pid 1003 ip 230.0.0.3 port 10003
